seventy-one

I finally caved and took myself to the doctor today. My back has been hurting for a couple months and just as soon as I'd start to think "okay, enough is enough. I'll go tomorrow", it would suddenly feel better! So I wouldn't go. And then it would inevitably start to hurt again and I would just repeat the wait-it-out-cycle over and over.

It's gotten to the point now where it hurts to even skim over that portion of my spine with a very light touch. I don't necessarily feel pain with twisting, bending, lifting, pulling, etc....just when my back is touched. Of course I thought "tumor" immediately because that's always where my mind goes. I told this to my doctor today and she laughed and said "It's not a tumor!" just like Arnold ;) haha Gotta love her.

Anyway, we did X-rays and they really didn't show a lot of anything...just a slight curvature which is, in all likelihood, just bad enough to cause pain. I think it's also sore because I spend a lot of time sitting on hard computer chairs so....definitely going to make sure I take "sitting breaks" during the night at work. Hopefully if I work on my posture and work on moving around more I'll get things feeling better soon.

How about a couple iPhone pictures from my Dr. appointment? That's all I've got.

Love that Qualitest brand medicine. I'm sure it works the best. :) On a serious note, I'm glad you are okay and hope your back gets feeling better soon! And maybe you should see the chiro once or twice. Who knows? Maybe he can fix you right up?
