I felt bad for Peyton because she was getting the shaft all weekend, so she and I went out for lunch together. It was nice to escape the infirmary for a while and equally nice to spend a little one-on-one time with Peyton. She really is a very good girl...very helpful and so eager to please (when the mood strikes her!) We went to an Asian restaurant and she pigged out on potstickers and chicken lo mein while I nibbled half-heartedly at some fresh spring rolls. My stomch is still a little too iffy to attempt much more than that.
Afterward, we stopped at WalMart to get Colton some Immodium (he's had diarrhea since Thursday!), and she had the idea to get Emmy a get well soon gift. So sweet, right? We settled on a pair of Monster High pajamas and a Monster High DVD which all of the kids enjoyed. It was raining and super windy all day so we were trapped indoors. Colton and Calvin took a nap while the big 3 watched their movie, and I got some reading done....I'm about halfway through Jane Eyre and I am enjoying it a lot!
*sidenote: Peyton is 9 years old now....I'm not too far under 6' tall and look at her. Can you even imagine how tall she's going to be some day?!

Omg how tall is she! lucky girl. those are great pic of the two of you.
hope Emmy is feeling better soon!
Peyton is smiling!! She looks so pretty, and I think that's so nice that she thought of Emmy. I hope the movie and pjs did the trick and made her feel better; if not, she'll be going to the dr. today, I'll bet. I am hoping this is the last of that sickness at your house.
2 of my favorite girls.....not the only 2, though.
