It's not like I'm gone all the time, but I am not home with them nearly as much as I'd like.
I've missed out on a lot of afternoons like this:
Running, leaping, twirling, giggling...I'm hoping that I'll have more days like this ahead of me very soon.

I got your email. I haven't responsded yet because I don't have any good advice :( it's a hard situation... each outcome has major drawbacks. It's not fun deciding which negatives you are going to accept. I feel like I remake my choice every single day.
By the way...what happened to poor Emmy in that one picture? Did she get left behind?

Ditto what Ariana said about the email!!! I'm smack dab in the middle of my photography business and I still feel like I never see my kids because I'm soooooo busy! My only advice would be to definitely not overbook yourself with photography. That's where I am now and it is not a good thing. I'm way behind and super stressed and it just isn't worth it! This is supposed to be what I love to do and by over doing it this year I'm starting to dread it and that's just not cool!
