Since Jordan won't be able to contribute yet, I told her I'd try to post a few pictures of the kids week with us. I tried earlier today, but either I'm really stupid or my old computer really sucks, because it didn't work. I will give it another go...
As I said in my last post, Jordan drove up here on Friday, the 3rd, with all 3 kids, looking like she was at her wits end. She did get to visit with her 2 brothers, Ryan and Alex and their better halves, Lauren (Ryan's fiance, and Ann, Alex's wife). Saturday morning she was off to Vermillion to hit the packing and moving hard. She would be all on her own as Calvin was heading to Minneapolis for several days with the group he works with.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we had a very active, adventurous time. When you take 2 people who are used to having their home peaceful and quiet, clean and orderly, then add 3 children plus the extra company, it's quite an adjustment!
Here are some things we did: played Barbie, Ninja Turtles, computer games, watched HORRIBLE tv shows such as "I Carly", "Phineas and Ferb", "Spongebob Square Pants" and others that I'm still trying to forget. We checked cows, rode on the 4 wheeler, played with dogs and cats, jumped in the inflatable bouncy castle, drove the Escalade everywhere. We ate lots of junk food, had a few fights, painted some masterpieces, dug for dinosaur bones, swam in the dog's pool. We made pretend food, swatted flies, caught toads, swatted flies, shot off fireworks, swatted flies, rode bikes and swatted some more flies. These city kids don't get it...on the farm there are approximately 664 billion flies hovering right near the front door, just waiting to be let in. They were some happy flies, because the door was opened hundreds of times, many times being left wide open.
We ate popsicles, wrote our own stories, played hide and seek, dug out old Tonka toys, sprayed the hose, stomped through the mud created by aforementioned hose. Yep, it was a real change of pace from our everyday life, but I enjoyed it all and can't wait to have them come back again. (But let's wait awhile, OK Jordan?!?)
I will give the "add image" thing one more try...if it does work, don't judge my photography too harshly...I am NOT a photographer!
Well, I guess I suck at computer related things, because I tried it on our laptop and it still won't load. I'll keep trying, but in the meantime I'll post this! Sorry...:(

That's sweet of Mom to give us all an update. I hope she gets things in order soon for her own sanity. It's hard being without the internet these days.
are you making sure to hit publish image or what it says after image is shown? thanks for the update! you are a great gramma!
tara
I think I'm doing it correctly, but it just sits there saying "upoading images" for like an hour, never making any progress. I tried just uploading them one at a time, several at a time, making them smaller, nothing seemed to help. I'll keep trying though...
What a great mom/grandmom you are! Sounds like you had lots of fun with the kids.
Wow, lovely mum stepped in!
Taught my very old but clever grandy to use a computer, maybe should have tried blogging.
